lamentation
A voice is heard in Ramah,
Lamentation and bitter weeping,
Rachel is weeping for her children;
She refuses to be comforted for her children
Because they are no more.
As near as I can ascertain, the terrorists—some of whom were Arab, not Chechen—agreed to allow the bodies of those murdered in the initial firefight two days ago to be removed. When the ambulances approached the school, they were greeted by the detonation of mines wired into the structure. Initial reports are of more than a hundred dead, with of course many times that number injured.
Words fail.

Made the mistake this evening of watching MSM reportage of Beslan atrocity read by ABC hack Peter Jennings. No mention of Islam.No mention of Arab participants. No mention of Terrorism. Implication was that main person to blame was Putin. Through some editing error no complicity of Bush was suggested and obvious Halliburton role was omitted. Apparently Jennings did not have enough time for a NYTimes style rewrite. Meanwhile, BBC preserves greatest pretense of 'objectivity' by referring to alien scum who orchestrated Beslan atrocity with faux-neutral term 'hostage-takers'.
