The buzz in the newsroom over here—and our newspeople are hardly
right-wingers—is “What the hell happened to Al Gore?” People are
stopping each other in the hall and asking “Did you hear that?”
—Michael Graham

Remember: but for the grace of God and a few hundred dimwitted Florida Democrats, this freak of nature would be our President. Here's just a sampling of his speech today before MoveOn.
The abuse of the prisoners at Abu Ghraib flowed directly from the abuse of the truth that characterized the Administration's march to war and the abuse of the trust that had been placed in President Bush by the American people in the aftermath of September 11th.
There was then, there is now and there would have been regardless of what Bush did, a threat of terrorism that we would have to deal with. But instead of making it better, he has made it infinitely worse. We are less safe because of his policies. He has created more anger and righteous indignation against us as Americans than any leader of our country in the 228 years of our existence as a nation — because of his attitude of contempt for any person, institution or nation who disagrees with him.
He has exposed Americans abroad and Americans in every U.S. town and city to a greater danger of attack by terrorists because of his arrogance, willfulness, and bungling at stirring up hornet's nests that pose no threat whatsoever to us. And by then insulting the religion and culture and tradition of people in other countries.
Yes, and he also breakfasts on live parakeets and sacrifices puppies to Molech.
UPDATE: But then there's Barbara Boxer, Healer of Worlds.
Wow, I could see the Healer of Worlds for only $1,000 on Saturday just across the Bay from me in Tiberon. I just hope the organic vegitarian lunch, or her speech, won't give me the runs.
Or I could learn how to whoop someone's ass in the Aikido class, however, I'm sure it will be the "non-violent" type where you pretend to pound on each other with plenty of hugs afterwards.
I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a couple of Al Gore paragraphs that make him sound like a complete nutball. IMHO, those paragraphs you've quoted here don't fit the bill since he there expressed the opinions of millions of Americans and even more foreigners. Like it or not, that is not wacko-fringe thinking. It is quite the mainstream. Just lettin' you know I'm paying attention, Tony. Hope all is well. Peace.
