babes for Bush
Ace is stoked that Lara Flynn Boyle has declared herself a Bush supporter.
Insert standard disclaimers here, about the shallowness of celebrity culture, irrational appeals to authority, etc. Nonetheless: it was a little underwhelming back in 2000 when the Hollywood glitterati turned out en masse for Al Gore, and the GOP responded with Bo Derek.
This year, of course, the Republicans have Dennis Miller and Kelsey Grammer—neither of whom are exactly pinup material. But all is not lost.
For some time now JerseyGOP.com has been compiling the Republican Babe of the Week. Some honorees are not surprising: Everybody Loves Raymond's Patricia Heaton, for instance, has long been an outspoken pro-life advocate, and model Lauren Bush is the President's niece.

But Jessica Simpson? And Sarah Michelle Gellar? A bit of supporting evidence would be helpful, beyond the fact that Gellar's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., once labeled himself a Republican on The Tonight Show.
Close enough. I mean, how much motive does one need for posting a pic of everybody's favorite vampire slayer?

Now I am so busted.
Busted...maybe. But at least traffic on the site should pick up.
hmmm--National Review's Corner quotes The New York Daily News Daily Dish column regarding Brad Pitt's cautious support for the war: "We can't go back now...We're in this together as Americans. We're going to have to go in and get the job done as soon as possible."
The Daily Dish also mentions Brittany Murphy.

Somewhere I saw a story on the European premiere of Troy, where Brad Pitt said something to the effect that the story was about the arrogance of power, and that it had modern resonances.
The story's author might have been making too much of Pitt's remarks. But for now I consider his support a bit iffy.
