No deeper metaphor, really: I just found it odd.

I never claimed to find the image funny; I just found the juxtaposition of the Nike swoosh with militant Shi'ism rather striking. Which is, after all, what the post says.

Curious, also, that you seem to think that any group calling itself an "army" is one. Perhaps you believe that police are responsible for the poor outfitting of criminal gangs?
